Speaking as a guy who's fought a lot of Darklings and Beastmen, these things are usually at least a little bit about which species you think is better.
If you have access to the public records on these earpieces, go back to the one speaking about the Institute, and see for yourself, draw some conclusions. .. What's a Darkling?
Darklings are tougher than humans and way better at magic, they've all got huge pointy ears. Beastmen are... beasts, but also men? [ listen if YOU can think of a better way to describe them, ] They look more like animals than those rabbit guys back in Kamurkia, but they've still got hands and can talk.
